We can help
If you are struggling with some aspect of life, especially if you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed, counselling may be helpful for you. Counselling can bring a fresh perspective and personal growth, allowing you to make changes and live a fuller, more enjoyable life.
Counselling can be helpful for a variety of issues including:
Anxiety, Bereavement, Loss, Abuse, Eating Disorders, Depression, Faith issues, Relationship issues and Trauma.
Counselling is an opportunity to talk to someone about what troubles you in a safe, understanding and non-judgemental environment. A counsellor will not tell you what to do or impose their own views on you. Instead they use their knowledge and skills within the counselling process to enable you to work through your thoughts, feelings and behaviours with the aim of bringing about positive change.
At times counselling can seem like hard work, as it may mean facing difficult emotions. But remember, the aim of counselling is to free you to enjoy life more fully.Get in touch
Sessions are by appointment only.
Our appointments are usually during office hours, Monday to Friday although occasionally other appointments are available or times may be discussed with your Counsellor.
We offer weekly counselling sessions of one hour. Each person differs in how they respond to counselling, however most people experience some positive change in 6 to 10 sessions. Some people will need fewer and some, more. Along with your Counsellor you will regularly review how the therapy is working for you or if it isn’t and therefore how that situation can be changed. If for any reason you do not feel you want to continue with the therapist you have been assigned, if possible please discuss this with your Counsellor or with the Head of C4Y.Get in touch
Standard fee: £30 per session
Those able to pay more than £30 per session are welcome to do so, as this enables us to offer counselling to those on lower incomes.
Our aim is that no-one will be refused counselling for lack of money, so we offer a limited number of sessions at a reduced rate. You will be asked to contribute towards the cost.Get in touch

We aim to communicate our unconditional acceptance and valuing of each person we work with and to respect each person's right to make their own decisions about how to live.
We developed from Yeovil Pregnancy Crisis Centre which has been counselling women in Yeovil since 2007 on issues surrounding pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion and infant death. We continue to offer a free counselling service to women and their partners dealing with these issues.
